AthensWFS Staff

We are excited to announce our new Strategic Partnership with @TheHagueUniversity

More about the Athens Women’s Football Summit here: https://buff.ly/32eFIc4

The Strategic Partnership was launched with one of the Hague University’s students taking on a special role as an intern for the Athens Women’s Football Summit.

Here are some words about this exciting relationship:

“Dynamic collaborations between the sports industry and top researchers/educators such as those at the internationally-respected Hague University of Applied Sciences have given rise to powerful understanding and pioneering, creative actions – and we’re thrilled to have ISPM students and their distinguished instructors join our worldwide Athens Women’s Football Summit family.”

-Marios Christos Sfantos, Esq., Co-Founder – Athens Women’s Football Summit-

“To see the impact AthensWFS had last year as a result of its inaugural summit was incredible. We’re excited to work with AthensWFS to launch their first student forum which will be at the heart of our Global Issues in Football Management Minor at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. We see this as a win-win situation as our students get to engage with thought leaders from around the world and those leaders get a chance to engage with the next generation of game-changers.”

-Dr. Donna de Haan, Lecturer – International Sports Management-

“Women’s football is a rapidly growing market which provides both strong commercial opportunities and valuable corporate responsibility possibilities, and the Athens Women’s Football Summit gives students unique opportunities to learn first-hand from industry leaders at the cutting edge of global sport’s most exciting and far-reaching movement.”

-Agisilaos Toumazatos, Co-Founder – Athens Women’s Football Summit-

“The current internship will be followed by a research-based graduation internship which has been created for the class of 2021, which will focus on elite women footballers’ experiences. Being able to consistently offer both a second year and graduation internship on an annual basis with an organization like AthensWFS will enable us to develop a sustainable and impactful relationship.”
